About the ODU Democrats
Progressive Politics on Campus and in the Community
We are the ODU Democrats, a student organization at Old Dominion University established in 1980. We are a chartered chapter of the Virginia Young Democrats, and the College Democrats of America. Noting ODU's unique and diverse student body we are open to members of all ages attending ODU.
We are committed to creating progressive change both on campus and in our local Hampton Roads community. During campaign season we advocate for Democrats up and down the ballot and when not campaigning we push for progressive changes and take up issues important to our membership, such as climate change!
ODU Democrats also functions as a social and networking club. We serve as a connection to internships, jobs, post-college career opportunities, and amazing volunteer opportunities. ODU Democrats also takes credit for the creation of many lifelong friendships!
